Ahh yes, how exciting... just cruising around on a friday night then all of a sudden I pull up next to a ford lightning. Didn't make much of it until the light turned green and we were both just creeping waiting for one of us to lunge... he went first. I was right beside him the whole time and was even a car ahead and then the cherries were flashing. There was only one cop so he pulled the truck over but told me to pull over in this other lot. My friend that was with me told me to floor it and **** the cop, but I figured he had my plates already( End up going to jail instead of getting a ticket). Before I know it FOUR cop cars and 2 drug dogs swarm to my car. They must've thought I was a dealer or something. Long story short, I got a ticket for "Careless driving in direct competition." Whatever... my best friend's dad is a lawyer and always takes care of our racing tickets...lol...

Damn, traffic cops are so ****ing annoying...

The guy in the lightning wasn't even trying. Trust me, a lightning will smoke a non-turbo sc300/400. A Lightning smokes a Cobra.

Ya don't try and get away from them, I made that mistake once....one turn too many and they called it fleeing....heh. Of course the fact I was doing 110 in a 35 thru Ft Lauderdale's tunnel, ran three stop signs, and hopped a curb didn't help. oops

Apparently there are older Lightning's. I've never seen them around though. This one is still kinda lame if you ask me

I was thinking of picking up a local worked first-gen lightning ('95 I think, Black), had scheduled to drive it the day before I test drove the SC I ended up buying. This thing had the 351 GT40 motor (of course), but also had a Vortech blower, cam, Bassani stainless exhaust, reworked trans, all the goodies, and it was still pretty damn slow. Absolutely nothing like the new Lightning, matter of fact my worked 5.2 Magnum Grand Cherokee would've annihilated it, and that's without a blower.

all lightnings are fast. thats a fact. they all can smoke mustangs with no prob.....lightnings in my area are 14. flat in the quarter and thats stock with only they tail gate down....getting beat by a pickup truck iz not pretty.

Yeah, there was some idiot kid driving this one so I doubt he knew how to drive it very well... (of course I'm only 18)...lol...
