I drove mine home election night 2008.

While everyone was doing the typical left vs. right thing I was crusing home and thinking the economy melting down in October 2008 was not all bad cause my seller dropped his price by nearly 2 grand cause the future was in question.

I also noticed a line on the SC that I never did since I first saw them in the 90s. The crease in the body at the top of the 1/4 panel is amazing.

I had never felt so happy when I bought my car. Last year was one of the worst years of my life and the SC was probably the only good thing to happen to me all year. At the time, every SC I came across were a piece of crap, so finding my SC300 with 91,200 miles was nice. Also the feeling of knowing I owned a Lexus now instead of my Saturn was awesome.

I felt great. Bought the car in fantastic condition, pristine interior, only 40k miles, and one owner.

And my dad had to drive it home. I was 15.

Felt great to have one before most of the owner demographic changed in the last 5 years. Now I feel like I drive a 240SX or a Civic when I read this forum.

It felt SLOW.

I flew 2200 miles to Oregon to pick her up last weekend and drove it 2400 miles home (a few side trips along the way.. .Mt. Rushmore, etc).

The first 1000 miles was through the Rockies, over a mile up. The car was a total dog.

Now that I've got her back in Chicago it feels like she's picked up 50hp! Go sea-level!

i certainly wouldn't say CL is that bad. i know what you mean though sometimes its rough but as a whole i'd say CL has a LOT to give.

Agreed. There are a number of members who truly contribute valuable information. They write up DIYs, have experience and have actually done certain things to their cars for everyone else to copy.

The majority, however, at least in the SC300/400 forum, are people I'd probably call idiots in real life. Clue number one is the lack of literacy here. Typos here and there are forgivable, but it gets irritating reading most peoples' posts. For God's sake, there's even a spell check within the "Reply to Thread" box!

my 95 sc wasn't my first Lexus, but it felt amazing right away. I had been plotting on one for awhile, and when I finally found the right one and drove it home with full service records and all the paper work, i was stoked.
