I never delete anything from my inbox. For whatever reason, I went back to November 11th, 2008 and saw a few of the emails of the correspondence I had between the original owner of the car and myself. The last one said we would meet at 1:00PM on Friday at his Newport Beach office to pickup my new car. When I read this again, it immediately brought a smile to my face. I remember how great it felt to handle the paperwork and drive away in that pristine big black powerful coupe...all mine. Of course most of the magic has faded.

How did everyone else felt when they took "delivery"

mine's needed a lot of work when I picked it up and I couldnt work on it cause of my busy work schedule. First thing I did was fill it up. Cost 60 bucks cause that was when gas was high. It was a project but I was happy.

i was pretty happy considering how cheap i got my SC for and how low of miles it has and the condition of the body, motor, etc for it being 16 years old. (i have a 94 sc btw)

'92 SC400 - first car ever, happy then pissed cuz it was a lemon
'97 SC400 - indifferent, only had it for half a year and put 100 miles on it
'99 SC400 - very happy, drove it 2000 miles home

I just got mine about 5 months ago and I love it now, the same as the first day. I traded my civic for it. I love sc300's so much I always have.

well, my sc400 sat in my driveway for 3 months as INSPIRATION to keep saving. the guy i bought it from let me keep it in my driveway, but how i felt those 3 months did not even compare to the first time i took it out driving. that was one magic drive through the back roads...

now that i've been away from it since august i get the feeling i'll feel that way again soon. may 15th baby countin the days

Mine was mixed. I was really feeling down, I bought this car on a spur of the moment to make me happy. I didn't know how to drive a 5 speed, so I had my little brother drive it home.

I was excited I had the car but also wondering why I bought this thing so fast. When I learned how to drive manual on it that night I was happy again.
