If you go single emissions will be a moot point. Probably shouldnt get into details about passing them on a forum though.

I've seen both of these cars before. I almost bought that green one back when it was owned by a member on here over the summer. That car is pretty nice and is decent deal since its already dropped. It has had almost 10,000 miles put on it since it was sold last summer though. The White 2JZ-GTE isn't bad either. I'd go with the white one if you've got the money.

ok fellas.. Here's my new baby!

98 SC400 with 140,000 for 7700.. Owned by an older gentleman who loved to cruise in it with his wife

plans are to swap the transmission first and while I play around with the v8.. I'm gonna build a 2jz Na-T or a GTE swap

I am taking her home 2mrw as the check from the bank will be overnighted to me and I will take more pics!

Thanks.. yeah i wanna play with that with a 5 speed for a little bit.. that engine is smooth, you can't realize how fast your going without a point of reference bc how quiet it is in the cabin

question though... the 2jz will just drop right in right.. like the difference between the SC300/400 is only the engine itself right?

engine itself, mounts and little things like the AC, powersteering. different engine so the lines are different. There was a discussion about this a few weeks ago

I searched "difference sc" in the search thread field, but couldn't find anything relative to the difference between the two..closest was diff between 2jz na and gte

if you could point me in the right direction of that thread..it would be greatly appreciated

thanks lol

why does everybody keep saying that!? lol

it was perfect how this all worked out.. bc i live in the dfw area in texas, this guy had a ad for his car from san antonio, i called him and left him a message offering to drive out to san antonio to check out the car, this was a friday offering to drive out saturday, he called me back about 5 min later saying he is actually on his way to dallas now b/c he has a buyer who wants to look at the car, but the buyer has been kind of shady about it when it came down to crunch time, i guess he has been dealing with him for a few days... so i check out the car that night and his ad was for 8400, he said the buyer was offering him 7600..i said i'll give you 7700 lol... IT'S A DONE DEAL.. he was an older man who said it wasn't about the money, the reason he choked on the other guy was b/c he said he saw the excitement from me about the car as he had when he first bought it, and he wants the car to be enjoyed... little does he know the plans i have for this baby!
