That partition between the fuel tank and the passenger compartment is just as thick as a floorboard in a conventional setup.......whats the difference?

I'm married and have 2 kids. my kids are 8 yrs old and 16 months old. your options are simple, sell your SC for a family car or buy another car that's practical. when our 16 mo son was born i had 4 coupes and a '92 Camry. obviously, my wife drove the Camry from then on.

I agree with Kevin,... You can always get a GS300/400 and mod it and still make it a family car. Thats what my plan is hopefully is to keep the GS and maybe a babyseat in the back LOL.. Although, my GF thinks that i love my cars more than her

Im 18 years old with a one year old daughter. My girlfriend hates the lexus now because i dont drive it in the winter. she thinks i should sell it but i think its going to get traded for a 92 sc300 5 spd i work a good job spraying truckbed liners and can afford a 3 bedroom apartment myself and support the kid, she drives the 4dr accord but i think i might buy a cheap ls400 put some nice wheels and tint and have a nice family car, ive let my kid ride in the sc400 one time and that was across town like 3 miles lol. i dont feel safe with her back there. but i guess you gotta do what ya gotta do. oh and i dont plan on getting married anytime real soon. but i am still with her. been for 2 years. not too long i kno.

I am engaged and my fiance hates my car! She thinks they are money pits, the gas is too expensive, blah blah. We are planning on kids in the future, but I will always keep my SC. I've already compromised with her by not doing any mods right now while we are saving for the future. I know I will eventually hafta buy a little 4-door beater, and I'm okay with that because the SC will always be in the garage. The only problem is I'm diehard Toyota and she's all about Honda, she drives an Integra lol.

Im married, 2 kids and another one the way..simple solution, ask your other half what kind of "family vehicle" she would like..I got lucky and my wife liked the Dodge Durango we have now, and that is her vehicle and our family vehicle..and on occasion I take it out and use the 4wd, but buy a second/third vehicle specifically for family needs..and to keep your SC's mod budget as high as possible, pay of the family vehicle and avoid any payments

At one point, I had 4 cars...2 '92 SC400's, 1 CRX, and 1 RX-7 Convertible. Obviously, I was single. Now, I'm married (I'm 37) with a 1-year old daughter, and we have one of the SC's, an '07 Accord sedan, and a '99 Civic coupe. The lease is about up on the Accord, so we're in a tough spot. The car seat will fit fine in both the SC and the Civic, but it's difficult to get her in and out. So, we plan on getting another 4DR to replace the Accord...possibly a used LS400/430. Bottom line...my wife hates the SC, but it's not going anywhere! I've put too much $$ in it to get rid of it at this point and, even at 18 years old, it still looks better than a majority of the cookie-cutter cars on the road today. Keep it and get the wife a kid hauler!

Im 34, married with a daughter. Its not really that bad if you manage your money correctly and of course your making enough.

My wife and daughter love my SC

My line up is:

92 Pathfinder - wifeys
99 SC300 - My DD/project when its nice out
96 Ram 4x4 - My DD when its nasty out
96 Eclipse GSX - Toy
92 240sx - Toy
08 HD Night Rod - Toy

My wife and I together dont make anymore than 60k a year. Like I said, its how you manage your funds and if they will allow it.

My girlfriend and i both drive coupes . My coupe collection consist of my 240 my sc and my newely acquired cl 55 amg. The good thing about the sc is that its probably the cheapest luxary coupe when it comes to maintainance. Whis I can say the same for the cl...I personally don't think owning a sc as a family guy will be costly. I would invest in a 4 door/ minivan if kids are on the way though.

Young, dumb and full of cu... j/k

We got my wife a 2008 Toyota Sienna and she loves it. It has the kickass Optitron Gauges. If she's happy I'm happy.

and I can keep my project.

28, married with one 3 year old, and have 3 cars, fam/wife car is cr-v, my sc and my weekend wreck 240sx.
Fam on the wife side comes to visit often from out of country so we are trading crv for a subaru tribeca to accommodate them.

If you can afford to keep it then do so, but if not then a need to think fam before yourself sometimes comes to play.
