Duck, Sorry I missed this, thank you for the well wishes. I am looking forward to being back on my car, going to grand children's games and working in the yard. Thanks again.

I have a question. Has anyone ever had a little metal shaved off the inside mounting surface of their wheels to set the wheel towards the center of this car and giving the tires a fraction more clearance. I have been thinking about having 5mm taken from inside of my wheels. I am running th300Z wheels with 8 1/2" on all four corners. I keep looking at the thickness of the mounting flange and think I will still be safe. Any comments, I am ready.

Bikexcoupe, thanks for your thoughts. I do have a friend that has a machine shop that can handle this little problem if I decide to go forward. I will let you know and thanks again.

Yes I do. I recently reconditioned them and they look practically new. I’m really hoping whatever rolling is done in the front won’t ruin the liners.
I too wondered about this. I asked around and was told most machine shops wouldn’t do it. Extremely difficult to get right and lots of liability. If you need to go inwards, you need new wheels.

After they’re dry, I used a product called GTechniq C4, which is specifically made for the job, it is a plastic restorer. Applied a coat as per the instructions and voila. It’s a ceramic coating so it’s gonna last a long time. I did a lot of research and this coating lasts longer than just about anything else you can get. I am anticipating it will last a couple years before I’ll need to worry about it again, since I don’t drive in the rain and it’s a garaged car.
Also, there was plenty left over for me to apply it to my wiper cowling and a couple other spots and it all looks brand new.
