Default Leather-seats ebay seller - how's the leather quality?

I wanted to know which members bought leather covers from leather-seats a while ago, and how the leather is holding up after a few months/years of use.

I know there was a discussion a few years ago comparing the quality of the leather from leatherseats.com and the one from leather-seats.
I believe the conclusion was that the leatherseats.com leather was really nice, but a little more expensive than the other one.

I wouldnt mind spending 100-200 more bucks for better quality leather, but I wanted to see if the one from leather-seats was good enough.

I appreciate your input.

Thanks.

I had them from last year and they were good quality. None of those synthetic leather.

You should read the whole thread from last year....

they're actually holding up very well. my car is never garaged, and I use a sunshade most of the times when it gets hot here in SD.

EDIT: I miss read. leather-seats is a different company

Go to our sponsors here, buy that if you really don't mind spending $100-$200 more.

Thanks....I know leatherseats.com quality is top notch. I bought and installed their set before on an SC3 5 spd I sold, and the fitment and quality were awesome.
However, I did not want to completely discard the other seller, and wanted to see what experiences people had with it.

Thanks again.

Kinda curious about this myself. I could use some new leathers and their pricing and options were spot on. Ive driven an SC with the leatherseats.com kit and they were fine, but I wasnt sold on them.

I got a really good deal on the leatherseats.com full kit and I love it! I just bought some Zaino 'leather in a bottle' and cleaner to maintain them.

I had to get creative in some spots. The headrest was a little funky and the clasp pieces underneath it were nothing like the OEM ones.

For the price you can't really beat either kit.

OEM seat covers are what $1500+installation?

any competent upholstery shop should be able to redo sections of the seat. y

just be aware that piece will probably not match 100%

I called around to upholstery shops and they are very expensive. Anywhere from 1300-2500 for fronts and rears.

I took an upholstery class at wyotech and have my own industrial machine. But for the price I'd be happier to buy a set of covers and install them, than redo them myself. Making double reinforced seams look perfect is tricky as hell if you don't have a double-needle machine.
