tuff choice. If you want more power later on go with the 300 and boost it. If not i would pick up the 400.

I'd go for the 98 just cause its a newer car..yes both have been extremely well taken care of, and both are super clean, but think of them like women...

would you take the younger more fit woman or the older woman that sags in places you cant see?

but the 92 sc400 have a newer engine with less miles and the 98 sc300 have 160k+ miles

and my 92 only has 93k miles, but if I could go back, I would still buy the newer of the 2..160k miles for an SC (1uz or 2jz) isnt much provided the maintenance was done properly..but like zhillz said, it depends on your plans with the car. Do you want high hp/tq numbers, then go with the SC300, do you just want to cruise with the option for some boost and mid range hp/tq numbers later, then go with the SC400..but imo, the younger car would be the best bet.

I see! hey, turbodremz, the 92 sc400 is almost 5 grand less than the 98sc300. did the price affect your decision?

well if they are still for sale it would deff be a tough choice but i would pic the 92 just cuz it has a black interior but the 98 would prob have a newer more luxurious feel

I would buy a stocker and make it my own and not someone else's project
