Drive the car up on wood blocks in a ramp configuration, that way you should get around 6 more inches than you would usually have. Use large jackstands and you should have plenty of room to get the trans jack under there.

put it on your chest have a friend there in case something happens. never work on your car alone just in case.. that would be a ****ty way to die...

just got mines out today by myself. all i did was use one of them 4 ton floor jack, balance the tranny on it and slowly slide backward then lowered it. i just left it on the floor jack.

hey thanks, lets see what you do if something falls on your face.. better safe than sorry.. and thats a cool copy of my old sig, except alot less accurate.

Get a Jack an R154 drop in my finger and broke it in half lol ,W58 weight less than the
R154 i have install my W58 on my car by my self a couple times wasn't to bad but you will run out of gas.
I would get Jack just to be safe. GL

That is good advice for sure.

People may think I'm paranoid, but in addition to jackstands I always have my 2 other floor jacks under the car touching the chassis just in case...
