Thumbs up Just dropped my lady off with the painter

Well.....it's in the booth now. Supposed to be ready in 10 days or so. Going from DWP to Super White, but no big changes other than that.

On the way up back home actually ended up at a redlight with a beautiful white Porsche GT3........what I would have given for that to have occurred on the way up while still in the SC. Guy was driving like he stole it too. My buddy was driving me home in his SRT-8 Magnum and apparently the Porsche driver wanted to play

The suspense is killing me Painter is 70 miles away so I can't just run up but he's sent a couple updates......can't wait till the weekend. This car was super clean to start with, literally not more than a handful of door dings, but the painter is super OCD and you can see the extent of his obsessive bahavior in the amount of prep he did. Should be an excellent result. He doesn't even have a downdraft booth and the finished cars I've seen from this guy are rediculous. Normally he does classics and restomods so I think he enjoyed having a project car not requiring major work...LOL.

Before anyone comments the painter put in spring rubbers to raise the car so he could better tape the wells. Confused me when I forst saw it given I couldn't normally get a finger between the fender and tires.

Were trading labor for a turbo LS1 Camaro he's building but my material costs were over $800. I'd say with the amount of effort he's put into this correcting every single blemish labor on a job like this would normally run around $2500. If you use cheaper paints and just want a decent respray (not pulling all trim, handles, mirrors, bumpers, etc) expect to spend $2000 minimum out the door.

Price seems fair. With the current condition of my SC4 it's going to need the works. I'd like to see the finished product of your car when it's done .
