Default removing the auto tranny

so today i was removing the automatic transmission on my car, got to the point where it's off, but hanging half way and just won't come off. i looked around and found a cable going into the tranny and that's what's keeping it on. what is this cable? i think it has something to do with the throttle cuz i wasnt able to press the gas pedal when the cable was in tension. and how do i remove it? thanks

its a 1jz auto tranny if it matters.

probably the kickdown cable from the throttle. release the cable from the throttle body.

Yes. Its not needed anymore. Just remove it and you should be set to go.
