I'm wondering the same thing.....kinda weird a day after the shop took out the stereo and had the wrong adapter for it and put it back together it breaks down. But I did drive it for about 10 minutes on the way home with no issues.

Bad news My timing belt went out, even though it was replaced which I have the records for from the previous owner. But the mechanic just told me this timing belt has never been replaced. All in all if no valves were bent, I am looking at around $800 for timing belt change, water pump replacement, oil and **** to be all redone Even worse I was planning on going on vacation next week

Got it back today and it runs great.......He showed me the old belt, it was completely black so he thought it was strange that a year old belt didn't have any branding still left on it, so who knows if it was really ever changed or not.

oh and it looks like my alternator is only pushing 13.25 amps instead of 13.8 he said and it may need to be replaced. I read on here about rebuilding one yourself

Do you think this would be a good idea for me since basically my alternator is still working enough at the moment?
