Everything was going good on the way to work until my speed started dropping slowing and the car starting knocking. I got towed and I am thinking its fuel related because its sputtering and the check engine light came on. One thing that scares me is I had a shop try to install an after market stereo and they had issues and had to undo it, now a day later my car breaks down. It could just be weird timing but I havent had any issues with this car until now, so its like hmmmmm. Any thoughts on this being a fuel pump issue though?

Also while it was kinda working on the highway the tac was going up and down like it was possessed.....

Don't guess... Get the codes first. Then you have something to work with, could be about a hundred things at this point. I'm in Odessa, are you close? Beautiful 400 btw.

Yea the small mom n pops place that towed me is checking the codes for me right now.....I am in Seffner so not too far from you. And thanks, I got it from the second owner, it's basically in mint condition.

The mechanic said its throwing error code 13....rpm sensor?

I am having it towed to the toy house off 301 in tampa now, the other mechanic knows what the issue is but doesn't really have the means and parts of fixing it

lol......in about 4 months I am gonna sell this and get a 98 4 or 300 depending on what kinda deals are out there. A 5spd would be nice but I do not feel like paying 2k over the book value because of the rarity.

I hope the tow company cuts me a deal on having it towed again, some how when I called them the lady relayed info to the shop that it was a water pump issue so they said bring it on in.....oh well the bill so far is only $83, I guess it could be worse

Code 13 wouldn't not make your car run. I have had a code 13 for 1 year now and haven't had 1 problem with it. Fyi...keep checking just incase.

Good luck with the repairs. I wonder if the audio install guys shorted something out? Definitely let us know how it turns out.
