Does anyone else have this happen to them when getting gas?

To all of those saying "that is normal" yes it is to a certain degree, but it is possible for the checkvalve in the charcoal canister to be stuck, not allowing the pressure from the tank into the charcoal canister. There are specs, like everything else, there isn't supposed to be too much vacuum in the tank, or too much pressure. If it's Waay more than any other car you've fueled, maybe there is a problem.

why not just use the line to the charcoal canister as the vent? You won't lose any gas after 12 feet of bends in a small diameter hose. That's what I did.

I actualy removed the line all the way to the back tire. But it doesnt matter how many bends there are ,the gas will escape if there is an opening .

Mine vents out the bottom of the car, near the front crossmember, but anyway, I disagree. Don't you think the fuel has a much better chance of sloshing up the large diameter filler neck which is nearly straight, rather than all the bends in a long small line up to the front?
