Who on her or his right mind could have wasted my tax dollars on this beautiful SC over some damn new junkies? Damn! That's also cheating because that 97+ SC300 will run for more than 18 mpg and will cost more than $4500, which wouldn't meet the requirement for cash clunker. I'm sure a lof our tax dollars were wasted like this.

I must be messed up something inside, but seeing that tag on the motor literally makes me absolutely sad. Such a waste of a beautiful car.
It hit especially hard because my SC looks the exact same, same color, same wheels.
Depressing.

Another SC and a bunch of our car's cousins. http://jalopnik.com/5363459/the-toyo...pse-is-upon-us Seems like the CARS program has claimed a lot of LS400s.

OK...the guy wants $2500 for it....
So far he has sold the rear bumper, tail lights, passanger door panel, right rear suspension, and climate control...
it still has the complete front end (headlights, bumper, fogs, etc). Still has most of the interior....
If he let it go for ~ $1000 it may have been worth it....

Somethings not quite right
According to edmunds.com the 1997 Lexus SC300 wasn't even elgible for the CARS(Consumer Assistance to Recycle and Save Act). qualifying SC300 should have been limited to 1992-95 SC300s'.
