Had some serious rain the past 4 days here in nyc and found out the whole passenger side of my sc was flooded. It looks like the door panel on the passenger side was installed incorrectly from the previous owner and water dripped/ran behind the door panel in between the panel and the door and then made it way down to the carpet.

Now mind you, its been raining hard for the past 4days straight. ALot of water, so here are some pics, since all of the tan interior, carpet is coming out, time to switch some stuff to black lol.

Time to get to work

It sucks to see it all flooded like that. Definitely a good reason to go with black carpet/interior.

I live in RI and we had ridiculous rain this week too.

This is the parking lot of a local mall.

Found picture on google images.

yea bro i heard about Rhode Island getting hit harder than us.

Im going to start prepping, cleaning, and began dyeing some of the tan pieces that i removed black, the carpet don't know if Im going to shampoo it, clean it and dye it, or just order new carpet. Will see what my funds will allow.

I've seen some pretty clean looking dyed carpets. I would try shampooing then dying. If it comes out looking good, awesome. If not, you could probably sell it.

Weather was nice today, after doing some other side jobs finally got some times to wrench on my own car. Front bumper is back on and in place, just some lining up to do with i and the highbeams to make them 100% flush.

Also started with the black interior conversion.

I used some carpet cleaner, then wiped down with rubbing alcholol, then sprayed with Duplicolor fabric, vinyl, and carpet interior paint.

Overall i am extremely happy with the end result on the door panels, they look dam near mint and even fooled alot of ppl thinking they were originally black.

For the carpet im not too happy with but i can't complain.
The paint over the carpet changes the texture of it. Eventually i am ordering new black carpet so this will work for now.

Here are some pics of the driver side door after i put the woodgrain back on.

And it definitely just hit me how long it took to do the doorpanels and all of the other panells left in the car to be pulled and to do lol.
