Project "Hwydemon" Jz swap into a 400, after having some fun with the v8 1rst.
*Edit Vid on Post 46*
Hey wats going on guys,
Name is Ron, I picked up this really really clean black 92 sc400 for 1100. Interior is in decent shape, (needs a driver side door panel and seat)m exterior is perfect, no dents, no scratches, nothing, at all. Im coming from the mkiii supra game, had a 1jz swap, a built 7m, all of them ran pretty good times in the 1/4. Its time to make that move to luxury and hence me making the move to the Sc. Reason I got the car so cheap is because it wont start. It gets fuel and spark but wont turn over.
I purchased this car from a small mom and pop shop and they couldn't figure out. They went and bought a parts car sc400 that was running and swap everything over and they still couldnt figure out the problem. Guess they where just stupid. Checked for codes, it was getting code 22 for EGT sensor, the connector was on but not pushed in all the way. Also two sparkplug wires was mixed up. Again tried to start, still nothing, puled the plugs and there dripping with gas, the engine is really flooded, change plugs almost started, alot of smoke but plugs come out still dripping with gas and then finally the starter gave out. So motor is coming out.
Goals with the car, In the end, put in the 1.5jz single motor i have that i was going to throw into my last supra into the sc, and 5spd swap all at once, but right now to repair the v8 so i can rock it for the summer until im finish gathering all the parts for the swap.
I will be pulling the v8 out today and just tearing it apart to see the condition of it, pull off the intake mani to change the starter and even pull off the heads to take a peak at everything.
Here are some pics,
see the other white sc300 i had in the background, it was a 2jzge xs power na-t that was put together like ****, some parts, ls 4piston calipers, rotors, shocks and springs, intercooler are coming from that one and going onto this one, everything else will be parted out, will be begining pulling and take pics of the car today.

motor is out, (the ez part is done, lol) Time to spray some degreaser, scrub, and pressure wash the enginebay from its yrs of leaks and spills, etc etc. Maybe even spray another coat of paint depends how bored i get.
While this v8 is being dismantled it also well be treated to some, some polishing, and overall being cleaned up real nice.

yea i told myself if i was going to make the move from the mkiii supra to the sc, it has to be black, I bought one that was white but had salvage title issues and ended up parting it out so i got a lil sidetracked but i achieved my goal of getting a black one.
