Default My second day on the forum, and I'm happy to report....

....that searching is a beautiful thing. but I really mean in the forum.

After my long introduction yesterday, I decided I start today out finding out answers to a few questions. I ran across all kinds of stuff that I probably would have never known had I not searched, or RTFM as we always say on Bimmerboard. TFM will answer more questions than people realize if they would simply open it. I also see why some posts have so many pages. If the sometimes nonsensical and occasional overly annoying "Fail", "Dumb question", "Why dont you search", and many other responses not at all related to the OP's original question were poof be goned, it wouldnt take as long to get through them - and consequently they wouldnt go on for pages and pages. BUT that is the nature of the forum beast, and there are times when those responses can be vaild. Thankfully MOST of the people here seem very helpful and I can already see a pattern of who is who should be ignored (or at least taken with a 25lb bag of salt). That took less than 24 hours...

And just a few more observations....all gas caps I've ever had hiss when removing them if the tank is near empty, with the exception of the classics I've had. Nothing airtight about a tank on a 77 Dodge van. Who cares if your wife or GF doesnt like your car, go get another one (wife or GF, NOT the car). If you cant afford premium fuel, buy a Honda. Your swapped 97 5-speed is not rare. People will descend like vultures on a junkyard find. Reading and spelling is fundamental...and ignored. Stock SC's are in the overwhelming minority. This forum appears to be be VERY diverse, which is a very GOOD thing. I need floormats...oh yeah, they are in the trunk!

Anyway, back to the search

hahah it's like being a kid in a toy store for the first couple times. Walking through the isles in amazement of all the options and all the information.
