'97 5-Speed worth the investment?
Hey,
Looked at the recent thread about '97 300's only 120 made. This one is close to where I live and thought I might take a look. Worth the price? Vin shows number 100001. Any investment value do you think?

Looks like a clean car. The color is right and it's rare....but I don't know if I'd go so far as to say investment. I mean maybe in 15 years you could run it across the block a Barrett Jackson and make some money, but right now you should get out there and enjoy it! (If you buy it that is)

a car is one of the worst investments you can ever make unless it is rare and a classic...sorry to break it to you by there is no SC that will ever fall under that category even if there are 5 of them left in the world.
you want a good investment? get a 1957 Mercedes 190SL convertible. i have one at work right now. the car is in rough shape and the owner still paid close to 50,000 for it. it one of those cars that you pay a ton just for a title and a VIN plate. when fully restored they bring in excellent money and money. thats one of those cars that will never go down in value.
