Shifter Extension for R154 rsc300/sc400 Swap
Hi there guys, I just installed my 1jzgte with a R154 transmission on my 1996 SC400 and notice that I have to extend my shifter. I take the measurements and I would have to extend it between 5 1/2" to 6" so the shifter can be centered in the factory hole. I personally don’t like to cut on the metal. My question is: Does the shifter extension kit that driftmotion.com sale extend the shifter so it can fit the factory hole?
Please let me know.

Depending on what Trans You have - either way You will always have to Cut the Hole from where the Auto Shifter came through.
There are 2 diff transmissions (3 total) that you could have.
You need to post a pic or find one thats the EXACT one you have.
Search - theres a thread on which parts you can get to extend it if you have a SUpra R154 as it is shorter. You may have the Tri-pod Style R154 or even the Semi Extended Soarer Trans like mine.
I've done a lot of Looking into this issue to insure I have the right one before I install it all
You Won't be able to use the STock AUTO Shifter hole.I do know that much.
You Have to Cut out the section in front of it.
