So, I was looking at some cars for sale on Craigslist and I came across this ad, and thought to myself, "Is this guy serious?! LOL!". This guy's 98 SC300 with 200K+ is WAY overpriced lol. I guess he thinks he can get that much because of his "fancy" chrome rims lol. The car looks RELATIVELY clean looking, but its definitely not worth 10 grand with that many miles on it.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people up here in Maryland (and surrounding states) try to overprice our SC's lol. This is the reason why I went to Texas to buy my car and drove it back here; because everyone seriously thinks they can get a million dollars for our SC's. Its ridiculous.

I know I just did the KBB on it and it is like $5K for that car with that many miles. Plus, the wheels and tires he's got on there (unless he got ripped off) are probably worth about $1-$1.5K so even then he should only be looking for like $6K or so total. Wow.

He probably knows it isn't worth much but overprices it like crazy hoping some fool will buy it.

I've been looking on craigslist for awhile and some people have some pretty ridiculous prices.

When i sell a car (24th ish car and im 20), i put my starting price about 25-50% higher then expect.

 

That car is a joke, but then again I wouldn't sell my car for anything less than $10,000. Since decent SC's around Oklahoma are getting hard to find, I could easily get $8,000+ for it around here.
