I've spent about 3k+ on my 1uz remote mount turbo setup and still haven't made 350 whp. Once the new ems is in place that shouldn't be a problem but thats another 2k+ added to the bill. A 2jzgte swap with bolt on's is your most reliable way to 350+ whp IMO. Going fast in an SC correctly isn't cheap! Hit up Scotturnot or UZZTT. I believe they have a sick turbo setup for sale for the 1uz (twin turbo garrets)! Search SteveChumo on this forum, he has a pretty sick 1uz turbo build up and I believe he's eclipsed the 350whp mark in a 1uz.
save your money for bigger power. all that money you waste for aftermarket headers n stuff to gain 10hp here n there can be going to a swap or turbo setup. just deal with the power or find a 98-00 sc400 290hp.

Some of us don't really want a whole lot of power. 350hp crank is plenty to keep up with newer sportscars because, let's face it, the SC 400 is slow by today's standards.
I have similar power goals and I'd rather keep my UZ naturally aspirated. As expensive as it sounds, it's different. It seems like everyone and their dogs swap or turbo their SC to gain more power.
They have pistons available to raise your compression ration. Those along with more aggressive cams you should easily hit 350whp. ITBs will sweeten the deal.

I recommend this if you have higher mileage on your sc. Boosting a motor with already high miles is dumb and will need a rebuild so might as well go big!
a lot of the upgrades for the 1uz are expensive thats why im swaping out mine for the 2jzgte.... 1uz are in a lot of "offroading" trucks so that might help
