Default Removing SC300 fan shroud?

Guys,

Trying to explain to a friend in a different state how to remove the fan shroud. I don't have one in front of me to look at. Can someone please give me a step by step that I can pass on to him? Or does anyone have a link with pictures? Thanks,

Jonny

If I remember correctly I had to remove the bolts that were on the top and the bottom of the shroud, then I slid that on the radiator clutch fan allowing me to get to the bolts on fan clutch. Once I got those bolts off and the fan out I was able to lift it out. Hope it helps.

^this

except you don't have to take out the fan. There are some clips holding on the bottom part of the fan surround. Just undo these and the bolts holding it to the radiator and slide it up and out.

doesn't the battery tray need to be removed too before the shroud will lift out?

Not that I can remember. Once again my battery has been relocated for a while now.
