Default SC400 Exhaust, LS1 WHAT!!???

ok fellas, here's a video of what the exhaust sounds like with just the mufflers off again

now here's what it sounds like with all the resonators off, pipe is dumped after the midpipe right after the 2 cats, 3rd "cat", really a resonator, has been replaced with a straight pipe... this is just temp until the piping comes in hopefully tuesday, so we can do the complete catback, it will be all 2.5 with an xpipe which will dual out to look factory

**the lexus turns heads quicker with this engine screaming at people**

sorry for the crappy video, i'll do a driving experience video when i get the car back hopefully today.. it's getting the 2010 alpine double din navi kit installed

i love it! i just got a sc4 and got the 2 resonators take off from each side. its nice, def sounds meaner than stock and gave it good power and tq gain. but i think id like it louder. cant wait till you get the rest of the exhaust. be sure to put up videos of it up.

This ghetto method of making our 400s sounds mean is way better then spending 800 on an axle back exhaust! I dig it.

Lol. The custom catback is only costing me about 400-450. Custom Is the way to go. I was looking at the blitz catback and I'd rather spend a grand toward the motor with pistons and rods for the turbo setup. And it'll retain both tips bc it looks goofy having the bumper with 2 holes cut and only having one exhaust tip

i'm learning as i go about this engine... checkout TTCPERFORMANCEPRODUCTS.COM

that's where i'm going to order my stuff for the 1uz and you can even buy a complete short block and choose the compression ratio

mine has about 140,000 and is healthy also so i'm going to build the turbo kit for my higher boost setting of 600-700hp at the crank, and run it low boost at my daily goal of 375-400whp on the stock motor and when i'm ready for more boost or the engine gives lol i'm going to start building the motor...

i want to see what this engine can take stock safely

I did something similiar, just gutted the 3 cats, straight piped the resonators, and left the stock mufflers on. I'm loving it, and I also get compliments on it.

yeah if the catback quiets it down too much, it will be up for sale as it will be a direct bolt on

the dumped look is aggressive, but it looks cleaner with the muffler tips back under the bumper

Lol I was just thinking, If I had one of those remote starts, and I left my car in 1st, and it were to get mashed in my pocket, I'd be seriously ****ed. If you're thinking it wouldn't work because of the clutch, my car has a jumped starter, so it starts clutch in or out.

lol my friend did that to his car, drunk the night before left his car in 1st parked in front of another friend's garage b/c he was throwing a party and the next day BAMM slammed into the garage door

BUTTTT new alarms these days have a fix for that b/c my clifford remote start has a manual mode that you must input to use, i believe it's when the car is running you push the remote start button, withthe key still in the ignition, pump the brake and then shut off the car and it'll enter manual trans mode for the next start up and you have to do that each time which will help you from accidentally leaving it in gear
