Question Help with tire fitment

Ok I have a set of 18's off a 06 maxima the forged ones. Im currently running 245 40 18 I want a bigger tire that will fit with out mods to the car. Also no rubbing. I want more side wall to give a softer ride and fill in the gap I'm at stock height.

Those sizes are seriously way off. Your current 245/40/18 is proper tire height. When you upgrade tire size yes you will "fill in the gap" but thats only because you're oversizing and it will make the overall diameter quite a bit bigger. 2 reasons why you shouldnt do this A) you will throw off your speedometer and B) it will also raise your car making it look like a 4x4.

If you want to close the gap get a lowering spring kit of coilovers

You can probably get away with 255/45/18

50 series is way too big and you'd probably hate how it looks. The most I'd do is a 45, and the 245's should be fine. 255's will give you a little more rubber on the road (width) but you could also have issues turning in front.

LOL thats the most ridiculous thing I've heard today. Sure go ahead and take some photos, I could use a good chuckle. Since when was the SC a crossover.

1" larger in diameter?? holy jeebus you will be rubbing like crazy every turn you make. Don't say I didn't warn you

Going to a 45 wouldn't be a bad idea if you want more tread. I wouldn't do anything more than 45 personally just for aesthetic reasons.
