Ok I have a set of 18's off a 06 maxima the forged ones. Im currently running 245 40 18 I want a bigger tire that will fit with out mods to the car. Also no rubbing. I want more side wall to give a softer ride and fill in the gap I'm at stock height.

Those sizes are seriously way off. Your current 245/40/18 is proper tire height. When you upgrade tire size yes you will "fill in the gap" but thats only because you're oversizing and it will make the overall diameter quite a bit bigger. 2 reasons why you shouldnt do this A) you will throw off your speedometer and B) it will also raise your car making it look like a 4x4.
If you want to close the gap get a lowering spring kit of coilovers

50 series is way too big and you'd probably hate how it looks. The most I'd do is a 45, and the 245's should be fine. 255's will give you a little more rubber on the road (width) but you could also have issues turning in front.
