Hats off to any of you that have changed fog lights!
So I decided since I had some 3k H3 HID's laying around from my old BMW I'd go ahead and throw them in the SC. I should have know when I looked in the manual and it said "take it to the dealer" that I'd have problems. So I come up on the handy dandy forum here and get to searching. Some can reach back there with no problem, but I'm 6'5" 290 and have the hands of a small bear. Some take the headlamp assembly's out. I had a hard enough time with those HID's, not doing that. Some took the bumper off. Nope to that as well...so the path of least resistance in my mind was removing the L shaped molding.
Well i didnt get it all the way off so I had to pull and move and twist and contort myself to a point where I could reach in. After doing all of that I finally get to the suction cup thingy that needs to be turned to get to the bulb. The bulb falls out. But it was twilight by then and it was becoming hard for me to see. I took off two bolts thinking I could slide the whole light assembly out, but it didnt budge. Maybe there was another bolt somewhere I didnt see. So I buttoned it all back up and still have halogen fogs.
Is there any EASY way to get to these d@mn light that I'm missing?!

yeah
there is a third bolt. theres one in the back one on top and one on the inside radiator side. the best way in my opinion is to remove the headlights and do it from above and the front if needed. im 6' 5 250 so i know what you mean. LOL.

I just undid the first 4 bolts of the L shaped splash cover from the front to the tire well and pulled it back. Then from what I remember used a 8mm deep socket and unbolted the 3 bolts of the fog assembly, pushed the fog out though the bumper. It kind of goes out in an angle and not straight out. Then reversed the process putting it back in.

I just turn the wheels and remove a few bolts from the tires fender lining (splash gaurd) i guess you could say. then put them in from there, turn the wheel the other way and do the other side.
basically the easiest way in my opinion is the wheel wells. for regular bulbs i just reached through the big whole near the foglight on my 97 bumper. I used the wheel wells when i did my 3000k hid fogs though.

Ima big dude myself 6'3 280. i did both fogs on a 92' withen 30mins wiring and all..
lay under the car take the panels down and just reach and twist them out.. not worth the taking the fog light hosing out.
as long as your hid's are plug and play you should be able to do it in 30mins or less..

i took the lining out and did it from the wheel well. it helps to do it in the daytime and have a really bright flashlight. once you get all up in there you will realize its difficult to get the bulb lined up and to clip in place properly even. gotta have the right angle.
