good luck with insurance...unless shes a moron and insists on paying for it, the insurance adjuster will prob deem you at fault just based on the fact that you rear-ended her...the fact that someone braked hard in front of you most likely wont work as a defense to why you couldnt stop in time

Sorry to hear about this Diego!
i had a close call very similar to this the other day in my mustang! but it was an old man decided to brake on a green light and make a right turn in the middle of 2 lanes. my front skinnys locked up i nearly hit him. i got next to him and told him he shouldnt be aloud on the road. and then he said i was driving like a maniac and he flicked me off. i was like WTF. ****ing old timers shouldnt be aloud in the roads.

Guys keep this thread on topic please and watch the foul language. You can make your point without all the cursing.

I'd imagine he made impact with a lot of the underside of her bumper.
I'm assuming a few things: Her car is stock height, his is lowered. She braked hard enough to raise the back end, he braked hard enough to lower his front, might have been enough of a difference.
Good luck! I hope you get your car fixed!
Even if they do put you at fault; at least you'll still know you're not stupid enough to stop in an intersection if you get confused. Reminds me of a time when I almost hit a someone who had STOPPED on I-465 around Indy one time. In the middle lane. Luckily it wasn't rush hour. Who the hell is teaching these people to drive?

Though I am truly sorry to see your car smashed, it was your fault. You say you had enough distance between the two of you, but if that were true, you would have been able to stop in time, or swerve to avoid her. If you did have enough distance, then you must have been distracted.
Again, I'm really sorry, but I think you're screwed. Very little chance her insurance will pay. I hope you had comprehensive AND told your insurance company about all your mods and had a higher value established for your ride. Insurance companies don't consider power adders or lowering as increasing value. My car took a hit in value for a 5 speed conversion, even though they sell for higher in the "real" market.
Best of luck, keep us posted on the outcome.
