Default Complete loss of power, hella rough idle

Okay, so I just picked up my SC yesterday from the shop.....coils, wheels, control arms, fenders pulled. It rode home great yesterday. Tonight I go out to take it for a spin, and it's idling real rough. I think maybe she needed a minute since she was sitting at the shop for 3 weeks, so I let it run. Come back out 5 minutes later, and it's smoking, smells like plastic. No bag on the exhaust (I wish). Belts look good. Any ideas?

I just started it up again and let it run.......no smoke. Still idling rough, sounding like the muffler just fell off the car. Took it around the corner and I couldn't get over 15 mph. There's a crackling sound when I turn it off, that hot metal crackle. Under car, see liquid, but I know my pwr strng is leaking. I'm gonna look into the thermostat now, as soon as I find where it is.

Thanks.

It was under the car, like right under the steering wheel. When I went back out, no more smoke. Still rough idle, hella rough and when I took it around the corner, I couldn't get over 10-15 mph. And the crackling sound when I turned it off.
Just got my freaking wheels and coils on, and now this!!!!#$%$!
It was riding sweet yesterday.

I don't know where your alt and p/s steering is on a 400 but if it has the same problem as 300's I would make sure it's not leaking on to your alternator.

I just checked. It's the same as yours, right above the alternator. Just noticed fluid in the corner under the brake fluid reservoir too.

Is there fluid anywhere near the alternator or a hot area? That would be my guess because you get something in the alt and it starts shorting I could see it causing weird driving issues.

I see the majority of fluid under the car. The alternator and all belts look good. I'm sure if fluid was hitting the alternator it would burn and dry up, but I don't really see any residue.
I'm wondering if it sitting for close to a month at the shop would be a factor. But then, it drove so sweet yesterday when I picked it up.
