Lightbulb XRunner 6speed

Whats up guys
I was pounding on this thought for a little while now, and wanted to know youre thoughts of 6speed manual tranny from Xrunner in the SC400.
I've read that this tranny is very common in a few other vehicles and its beefy as well.
Does anyone know anything about this swap or transmission?
I know w58 is more popular around here, but I am kind of having a hard time finding one.
Any comments, input and suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

i think the SC/Supra crowd would be much better off if someone would make a T-56 adapter, hella strong 6 speed used by many domestics and it's like $1600 new, vs paying $3500 for a used 94 supra trans..

i don't know why someone hasn't done it yet, people use TH400's on our cars.

I thought Neil Griffith was offering a T-56 adaptor. Yes the Supra 6 speed is a painfully exspensive swap but it is a lot of fun.

Go over to Lextreme, Search T56, I found 3 different versions from a Full Billet bell housing to a couple adaptors, Also if you email Neil at Rush imports he can help too.

I believe if I am correct that the 6 speed from the x-runner is also available in the FJ cruiser. My friend has a manual one and his transmission crapped out on him twice. Just a little heads up.

I had that thoughts a year or two ago, and did a bunch of research- the final conclusion was alot of X-Runner folks have problems with that transmission when it's 'raced', especially with added power.

Go for it if you're set on it thought! I would go T-56, or a V160 if you really want a 6-speed- the parts are 'out there' already, instead of needing something completely one-off.
