Default SC400 Nakamichi Iphone 3GS adapter

Hi Everyone!

I'm new to Club Lexus, so I apologize if this has already been answered. I can't seem to find a reference to this.

Is there a way to set up a iphone adapter or aux cable to a 98 SC400 Nakamichi system?

How is the sound quality on these? Do they give white noise/hiss sound?

Look into the audio section, you should find your answer there.

Mine generally worked flawlessly. However, as the months wore on it developed a static noise that i had to tug on the wire connected to the tape to get it to go away. You get what you pay for I guess, but I'd take this over the FM transmitter.

I'm a sound **** and only download 320kbps MP3's or WAV files. I currently have the stock set up, but I'm thinking about getting a digital HU in the future. The tape/mp3 adapter seems fair for a quick temporary solution. Thanks for your help.

or if your willing to do some install and drop $300 you can get the jl audio clean sweep... and while your at it you can get four new speakers for like $130, you also might want to get some bass blockers and crimp caps for like $25. total= $455 and if your not very good with audio work you mgiht wnat to get a pro to install it... trust me its worth the dough, for sure

and if you want more bass you can get a kicker free air sub for about $65 and while your at it you can get a new mono amp for it(cost anywhere from $75 to $450). while your installing your audio/having it installed youll probably want to have the front tweeters unplugged caus they warp really easy.

almost forgot if you get the 10 inch subwoofer you will definetely need something to hold it up because it will not fit in the stock hole...for now im using a styrofoam ring until i can build a permanent wood ring

@maynanator: Thanks man! I'm definitely looking into it.

Right now I use a casette adapter, it works alright...but there's a definite reduction in the optimal sound quality. The one good thing I'll say about the casette adapter though is that it'll let you use your Iphone as a bit of a handsfree device. You can accept calls and use the mic on the phone to answer. Thus your music experience isn't really messed around with much.
