Default What would be your suggestion.........TTsc300 Q

I'm looking to have a TT sc300 here in the near future, but I can't decide if I want to buy one with a swap already done or do it myself. I have the know how to do this, and tools will not be a issue. So people that have done this already, what would you suggest if you could do it again? Would you buy one with the swap completed or do it yourself. This pertains to either swapping a entire motor, or bolting on the turbo parts to the n/a motor.

Well seeing as how the stock GTE twins wont bolt to the GE head, and its not a good idea to pick up someones project, I would say do the GTE swap yourself..unless by chance you can find one with the swap already done with receipts from a reputable shop showing exactly in detail what was done as far as engine preparation and installation..

My honest opinion, there are 3 choices..go na-t, Aristo swap, or a 1JZ swap..more than likely they will all be automatic, but you can always swap to the R154 later.

+1, better do it yourself and do it right, don't get into somebody's mess unless it was done by a reputable shop.

Have to agree with everyone so far. That way you'll know what's going into your car and you'll have a better idea of how to fix things when problems arise.
