It's best to slide the stereo in from the back and bolt it in, unlike the instructions state. Most stereos won't simply slide in the front like the instructions imply. Once you have the half cage and trim ring removed slide the stereo from back and the kit should work just fine.

I have been wanting to replace the stock stereo as well but I was concerned about the wiring. Have you all been able to find an easy "plug and play" wiring harness adapter?

1. Remove cup holder in the center (2 screws below it)
2. Remove the shifter trim (4 screws below it)
3. Carefully pry the upper trim off the center console and disconnect 3 harnesses (Cigg lighter, hazard light, and volume/ac ****)
4. Remove the 6 bolts holding the AC and stereo unit down.
5. Disconnect the wiring bundle on the bottom (it is just clipped on to the radio cage (don't disconnect the wires)
6. Disconnect all the harnesses on the back of the ac unit and radio.
