plain and simple, IF your SC was supposed to have a hood scoop, it would have come with one..but it didnt..and unless your baller like Scott, dont try to pull it off cause it wont look right. I say stick with OEM, or go with a vented hood.

I bet louvers could look nice if done tastefully. Any SC's with louvers stamped into the hood?

This Plus vented hood.... The air flows in the front and out of the top.

Nope, I have not put on a scoop, that is just a photochop to see what it looks like. I do have a hood clearance problem and I do own that OEM GM hood cutting. I have not figured out how to deal with the supercharger pulley clearance problem yet but I hope My lowered engine plan will fix it with no hood modifications.

Regarding the whole Scoop verses vented hood discussion........

I do not like any of those big bulky vented hoods, they just dont flow and look..........

Regarding scoops the SC looks better with none but if you have to get one for clearance I would get somthing that flows with the cars lines more like the chop I pictured.

Just my opinion so................................

Here is the chop for those who missed it.
