well for $7,500 ttc perfomance has a kit for vvt-i models but even then thats really high... you could probably get a shop to do a 400hp tune for $7000 max

well you can supercharge it for $3500 worth in parts...also i think you will find the whine of a m90 supercharger more gratifying than the sound of a bov.

Uhmm....given your goals, wouldn't just a stock 2jzgte swap with bpu give you just what you're looking for and cost a lot less than that?

also think about this...if you supercharge/turbocharge your 1uz you will be part of a very small and sought after group. plus 1uz+forced induction=hellavalotta(hell of a lot) horsepower

well for some reason i asked why cant i just do a compleate stock 2jzgte and they told me it would be a lot cheaper going single then mounting it on with dual stock, i didnt understand that but also they said alot of this 2jz you buy come with bad turbos which would be bad if you mount it and then have to go back to single because of bad turbos. im really just trying to go the shortest route to turbo and to be honist he mention something about when is not a usdm since it will be an aristo jdm single is alot easier, and also the thing is too many people have 2j's up north people grab anything and do 2j's not to much 1uz around i guess this bad boys are serious....

If you want the cheapest way to 400 then do a Supercharger setup on the V8, or 1j.
TT v8 will cost alot more, unless you really rig it up using stock manifolds turned around.

Would you be staying automatic, or going manual if you went 2jz?
You could keep costs way down by going with an automatic, or attaching a 5-spd, instead of the GETRAG 6-spd. Maybe just go 1JZ-gte, I'm pretty sure you could get that to 400hp pretty easily and cheaply.

Best best, Supercharge. Check Lextreme.com

ok you can geta basic sc400 to m90 kit from bulletcars $2750+shipping, and a good used ford m90 should cost around $350-500 off of ebay... this is good for about 375 horsepower. total cost $3250+shipping and istall costs.

Wow.... As soon as I'm out of University I'm doing this. Thanks for the advice

Just checked out Bulletcars... seems pretty cool. Would I need to change my stock automatic transmission to handle that much power? Would I need anything else other than the kit and the supercharger?
