Supra help
I have no bottom end issues . And I have stock head gasket so i thought you said you dont want to run it at 8-10 on the timing but it seems like when i have it set at around 6-8 it idles rough and kinda sounds like its misfiring a little . And also what happens if you turn the distributor while the pin is not in ?

I did accidently remove the tps from the intake though lol any ideas how to get that adjusted exactly where it needs to go?
I tried moving it around but not sure if I'm getting it right where it needs to go.. when I'm putting the pin in the obd1 it still shows the drop in timing so not sure if that means anything

Just saying it sounds like a knock, not sure what from could be from timing or whatever.
I did write that but since you are having issues try 8, maybe you are getting too far off, at 6 it does tend to have a rougher idle.
You just will need to watch how much boost with the stock headgasket and 8 degrees.
If its making the change in sound, then the tps is generally in the right area.
if you turn it the direction where it would read higher, you will get to a point that the engine stumbles, that means you need to back it up a hair before that, and set it there.
so start from fully backed off, and turn till you find the stumble, then set it before where it stumbled.
you want to be before that point at idle so when you blip the throttle it goes past it right away and the ecu knows you aren't idling anymore.
the jumper will make the sound as long as the tps is anywhere before that point (thinks you are idling).
The reason to set the tps just before that point though is you get a better throttle response.
Your stock plugs should be fine to idle on and drive around on, but I wouldn't boost much on them. install some bkr7eix and gap to .028-.032 before you go boosting around.

Did you do a compression test ? Have you recently washed your engine has rain gotten into the engine also sounds like when water gets down into the spark plugs and causes a mess / Also leaky valve covers will cause oil to get down into the spark plugs

I think it’s a ignition issue check all your plugs and wires.... to me it sounds exactly what it would sound like as if you were to pull a spark plug wire off the spark plug while the car is running not 100% sure but I don’t think knock would travel through the exhaust unless it’s a bent valve or a dead cylinder . And I do not believe these engines are interface engines

Well the car ran perfect before I put the ecu in and did this whole mod thing. I'm going to check the tps sensor with a multimeter to make sure I put it where it needs to go back to the stock position. Does the tps need to be exactly in stock position to make this all work properly? And also I do have the vvti coils should I throw those in to possibly fix this whole issue? Just wondering if this mod really does work using stock distributor and wires and not the vvti coils

And also I noticed you have all of your igniter wires being used . For the diagram using the stock plugs and wires it only shows that you need to use like 6 of the wires. What are the rest going to?

Stock Position , my Oil feedline Melted on test drive a new will Arrive tomorrow then I will be redoing my timing .. i have some used coils but they have cracks I am saving to by all new coils ... hey man get out the with the car running pull one plug wire at a time And see when there is no change then you know what cylinder it is or if there is a change at all make shue to use a good set of pliers and be careful not to shock yourself or damage your plug wires
