soo.. took her out to the track.. went 13.4 at 102 at 14ish lbs.. the car is so much fun to drive its rediculous..
to all the vvti naysayers.. if you havent owned one.. don't knock it.. i wouldnt trade for a non vvti for anything the down low torque is huge compared to the non vvti motors

Was that time ran on the stock ecu? What are you using for fuel/boost cuts? What clutch?
Sorry for all the questions... I'm killing myself trying to decide between VVTi and non...

the car is auto.. on the stock ecu.. i have no fuel cut defencer or anything and the car has held a steady 17lbs.. some guys in japland say they have never even hit boost cut on a vvti.. i have hit it once when i turned the boost controller the wrong way and saw like 21ish lbs..
i kinda think the non vvti's have a little more turbo with the twins to get that top end pull but the 0-60 the vvti will run like no ones business.. also who leaves the turbo stock for long anyways..
next round of mods in a week or two.. right now she has an ebc.. but meth and maybe some spray start this week

This car is mine now It looks alot worse and he did throw down a 12.8 on Water meth before I got it. I have a long road in front of me but looking forward to it, on here doing research right now as I might have some time to put some love into the car this weekend

Honeslty it drives like **** right now - coilovers are all out of adjustment, one side is higher than other, set to full stiff, on Drag Radials, needs alignment, body panels jacked up etc...
It is SUPER fun to drive if you get in it to drive it and pay attention to the power and way the engine/tranny responds and block out all the other crap that is wrong with it.
It has the original final drive currently from the standard SC300 from what I understand - I think but not sure because it definatly lights them up equally.

It sounds like you've got a little work ahead of you but it won't take a fortune to get it sorted. The body panel repair might get pricey.
A standard SC300 diff would have a 4.27 final drive with an automatic. Soarers with automatic transmissions came with a 3.92 so that's definitely an aggressive ratio. Unless the previous owner had an LSD installed it's probably still open diff as that ratio is usually considered too aggressive with a turbo swap. You can light up both tires under some circumstances without an LSD.

Yeah, when my wife got ill I had the car stored at a buddy's shop and it got backed into and dinged up. Thankfully i have every body part needed and gave it to Trevor with the car. It really needed about 3 days of tear down and assembly and a solid paint job. When things got back to normal me and the wife went out and bought a brand new 335is and honestly didn't want to pour any more money into this car when I could spend it on the Bimmer. I do miss the car, it was an incredible driving vehicle. it just needs finishing, and trevor is on the right track.
