hahaa iv thought exact same thing... And push the lever forward and there you go. So when you turn on your lights your high beams are set to on.

I used to do this manually on a vehicle I owned because its headlights were so bad. If I pulled the stalk to switch from low to high beams, right before it clicked over to high, there was a moment where both highs and lows were on simultaneously. Apparently this was a feature called "flash to pass" (actually, I always figured it was more like "flash to **** off") and it was clearly only intended for brief periods of time (as you'll see) because you had to hold the stalk 'just so' if you wanted it to stay that way while driving. Anyway, just about the time I thought myself clever for mastering the stalk holding pre-click skill on dark, lonesome highways, I learned the real consequence of the practice...I fried the lamp sockets in the headlights from severe overheating. Luckily, it was under warranty at the time and the dealer cover the repair, but IIRC, it was ridiculously expensive at the time.

SO, if you're seriously considering messing with them, at least make sure you don't fry some wiring in the process.

It makes me angry when people drive with their high beam on. But to answer your question, just push the wand forward.
