Hey guys, my ac system does not blow cold anymore in my 92 sc300. I have a 97 parts car laying around that was blowing cold air before it was wrecked; what would be the most effective, easiest and least time consuming to convert to R134a? What would you recommend on swapping over? Thanks
well, the car leaked again, i end up swapping all the lines, condensor, compressor, pressure switch, evaporator and new drier from my 97........so yeah, you have to swap everything!!! car blows cold again......
You dont have to swap everything, cool that you did and all, but You could have just fixed what was leaking... Ive done "conversions" like that a thousand times.
i dont know about the condensor, but the lines from r12 wouldnt match up to the r134 compressor, and the r134 lines wouldnt mate up to the the r12 evaporator.....
i forgot to mention, my old compressor was seizing up as well...
really? so theres fittings for r12 lines to mate up to r134 components like compressor, or vice versa? thats good to know..... i had everything from a parts car, so just swapped it over...
