Did you remove the little plastic tabs when you removed the black strip?

Make sure you primer paint if you roll with a bat or cut with a dremel. The paint that chips off can rust and spread fast. Heat guns are awesome for this job.

You can. I did not. Never have and probably never will. LOL. Just be careful. If you don't remove the clip you can end up with a little ripple if you are not smooth. The screws and the guard must be removed to do the roll.

Get a heat gun. They are handy to have around. What do you want to see in the pics?

i wanted to try the bat method on one of my SC's, on my first SC a friend of mine had a fender roller but to my horror one of my rear fenders had some bondo work done that i didn't know about and it put a 1 and a half inch crack going upwards

i think a bat is a very good method though.

I used to always buy a heat gun at home depot or lowes and return it when i'm done, but it's so handy to have around, after a few years one time i just ended up keeping it..

Harbor freight has them for under 10 or if you are ok with some paint chips on the inside just don't use a heat gun. I guess a hair dryer would work on hi and applying heat for 15 min. LOL. Give it a shot and you will be fine. Just GO SLOW!!!

haha alright i guess i'll buy one, so you just apply the heat gun for like 5 minutes and use something (bat) to push it in?
