steering wheel stage 1
Ok i'm probably going to get bit%h slapped for this. But i did search .what i want to know is are their any stickys or info compiled on upgrading your steering wheels on this site. For instance i want to change over to a 3spoke wood grain or leather wheel but i've a 97sc300 that have a 1stage airbag system, which wheel and from what car, suv, mini van etc.can i get a wheel from, that i can just plug it in air bag working and be done.no cutting splicing or any of that stuff.I know someone selling a es or gs 350 brand new never been used wheel for 250 without airbag but i cannot use it because it is a stage 2 bag and i'm not sure if i can find someone to make it work in my car.So all the wheel experts if you are up to it make a diy sticky or whatever and post it up.for instance if you have a, for example a 95-97 sc300/400 you can use blank wheel from blank vehicle yrs 94-98 direct plug and play with no problems. So anyone that can help me please do.I'm going to go search the diy to see what show up.Much Thanks to everyone that helps and everyone that want to hit me go for it i can take it lol.

personally i think the steering wheel that BEST matches the SC interior is the 99-00 SC 3 spoke, same as the 98-00 GS (if you can find one without buttons) also i think the RX used it in the earlier years.. then all you need is the airbag adapter harness..
all the other 3 spokes are nice, but IMO look a little newer then the rest of the SC interior.. the IS one matches pretty good, my only beef with that one, is having non functional shift buttons on the steering wheel, if they had some without the buttons it would look alot better in the SC..
my steering wheel of choice.

IS300's all had this steering wheel
and matrix xrs, MRS, celica GTS, and corolla S
all had this steering wheel.
or are you saying the airbags are compatible with eachother? so someone could get a celica GTS steering wheel and use a IS300 airbag?

you really searched??
you can use any 1 stage airbag, some may need a connector, or you can just make the connector yourself.
different year airbags may not physically fit into different year wheels, but some will.
to use a 2 stage airbag, you can wire up just one stage:
