the bulbs are tiny bulbs but they are not LED (they look like small 12v bulbs).
they are all soldered on to the board so you'll probably have to solder them off and solder in LEDs (i recommend SMD instead of LED) and run the correct resistor on to them.
what color LED are you looking to run? check their spec sheet...it tells you what's their typical voltage and what's max. you don't want to run it max.
a 9v battery on a LED will give you a bunch of useless burnts out LEDs. you have to run them w/ the right voltage.
this is from a nak head unit...not sure how the pioneer would look.

Hi thanks for your help. I believe that the nakamishi is the same as the pioneer. Where can I get the bulbs that I need? I want to go with bright white.

ummm if you don't know how to solder this might not be a good first project unless you're willing to ruin a radio.
