This is great news, especially considering I am just finding out about them! oh wait... this is horrible news, these look AWESOME! 
edit: Hey if anyone knows where in japan to get these headlights for CHEAP, maybe I could have my friend go grab them... possible group buy anyone?

umm... brightx and finalkonnexxion sell these lenses for what would approx equate to 275USD...
they come out of the same factory! the PART isn't discontinued, supermade have probably just stopped ordering them!

so she should look for those two distributors in japan? do they have any US hubs for these parts?

blobs - i'm australian, so i can't answer your Q about the US carriers...
they are not distributors... just brands... they just sell stuff!!!
and - it'd be easier to buy direct from the shop online than to get your friend in japan to run around trying to source them...
...if you REALLY feel spicy then try www.importmonster.com.au see if they'll send the parts to the USA...
they can most definately organise something for you

someone on nengun selling them for 189$ usd BEFORE shipping... so maybe 230 isnt that unreasonable. sort of gamble buying from some japanese dude... but I guess its worth it!, these are the bright-x ones by the wayz

yeah I NEED a set... or I'm going to have to buy at least one new headlight and for that money I could have BOTH crystal clear
