Right here, I've had a S13 and a S14. Got sick of both, after a Miata in between, decided to finally pick up a SC. Best decision I've EVER made.

I went from a 180sx to a 1990 integra xsi while in japan. To a 00' teggy, then to my 240 back in america.
Had fun, and still have fun. but reliability got thrown out the window. so I picked up my sc for a daily and love it because I finally have a/c again. lol

sold my 93 hatch for my 92 sc3. the 240 was a lot of fun and it was stick, but the lexus has a more mature feel about it that i like a lot. may get another 240 down the road, but for now i'm loving my sc300.

Started with my s13 Silvia RHD.
Surprisingly, that car was the most reliable car I owned since I got into the car scene.

Slammed it on tein's superstreets, put some gold ssr meshie wheels on, and a skyline spoiler, which fit absolutely perfectly by the way.

Anyways, ran into some trouble with, well, we will call him an ex-friend, and I ow'd approx. 4 grand to him. Sold my silvia for 5, paid it off, since I hate debt. Saved a little more up and bought a gross, rusted as s14 zenki.

Sorry for the poor picture. That thing was horid. KA powered, but amazingly reliable, but it was just junk. I had posted it for 2500 firm, canadian prices for everything here by the way.

Got an offer for a trade for an sc400 and 1000 bucks on my end. He was asking 9 grand for his car, I wouldve been stupid had I not.

I kinda had a soft spot for soarers, after I drove my friends gnarly 1JZ powered soarer.

Really dope care, slammed, kitted, custom paint.
All around, Ive wanted something similar and I happened to run across the v8 version of his car.

Im stoked on my sc400, and lookin into some of the suspension work, wheels, and engine mods I can do. Still lookin into a 1J swap but well see.

Winters around the corner, better get my *** to work and make my **** look half as cool as everyone else's ESS SEA!

people swap from s13/s14s to SC300/400s because they are way nicer cars.

I built an S13 up from stock to 330 wheel hp SR20 with full suspension, the whole 9 yards. Left the body completely stock, and she still looked menacing. I really miss that car.. it was a ton of fun to drive! I used to hang out with the whole "Dori Saru" crew back in the day.. they are some awesome people.

This is probably the only surviving pic of her:

Then, Mr. Lawman intervened and I was forced to sell her out of state.. I managed to get $8,500 for her at the time, and so I picked up my next car...

1992 SC300 Midnight Indigo Pearl 5-Speed - Clean title - purchased from the original owner .. which started my membership here on these forums, and the name KingpiN.SC

I planned on doing the whole JDM soarer build, with a single turbo, etc and was aiming for somewhere in the high 400 wheel hp range. I lowered it on some JIC coils that I got an amazing deal on from a friend, but never got a chance to do anything else... I picked her up for somewhere in the low 4k range at the time.. and shortly after, I was offered $7,200 for her by some random 19 year old.. so I decided to let her go.

I then decided to try a European car out and picked up a B5 2001.5 Audi S4 TT 6-Speed.. A REALLY fun car to drive..

Spent around 6k on upgrades (clutch, upgraded stock turbos, ECU, etc) and replacing worn parts. Drive her around for a while, but after many failed EXPENSIVE sensors later, and another set of blown turbos.. I decided to get rid of that car and get back into something I knew I'd love..

My 2001 GS300 - bone stock, with the exception of a nice sound system and the 19" wheels.

S to JZ Chassis: Who? Why?-gs300.jpg

Left her all stock, and later decided to let my little brother take over the payments, and handed it down to him. I then picked up my semi-VIP 97 LS400

S to JZ Chassis: Who? Why?-ls400.jpg

Lowered her on some JIC coils, threw on my 19" wheels, and was pretty damn happy overall. The honeymoon ended when the trans started giving me problems, so I decided to sell her and pick up a car that I would have more fun in...

My 1995 Lexus GS300 Touring Edition - 2JZ-GTE swap, single turbo'd, and a ton of fun!

Just sold her to start the project that I have wanted to do from the very beginning.. another 5-speed SC300. I found an extremely clean 1993 hardtop, and had to have her. I am hopefully going to be picking her up tomorrow evening, and I'll post a pic as soon as I get her home. I've also recently picked up a 1j swap for her, and will be documenting the swap process.

I wanted a lightweight rwd car with potential to mod.

my 1st S14 in 03

2nd S14 and 1st manual car (i learned manual just to get a 5spd 240)

The vert

but for the longest time I've admired the SC. To me it was a step above a S14 due to similarities. Now that I've owned one it's miles above the S14. I miss the fun of 240s but it's time to grow up. I sold the car and a year later I found myself between a clean 240 vert and my old SC. All I can say is that it's very difficult to go back ugly interiors when you've had a taste of Lexus.
