Default New member from No. VA *lots of pics*

Hey fellas, my name is Ray and I finally just bought an SC300 this past Tuesday. Got it from a mechanic who got it from a guy in Florida. I've actually been a member since 07 when I bought my first SC (SC400) which I owned for 2 hours because soon as I bought it that thing ran like crap so I went and got my money back.

I've owned nothing but Honda's in my life and sold my s2000 just to go back to college full time. Now that I finally graduated I couldn't find any good deals on another s2000. So I started looking for another SC and stumbled upon this one.

It's a 1997 Diamond White Pearl with tan interior and 175K miles. Wish I could say it's a manual but it's not. I'm hoping to start piecing the parts for it to convert it soon. It came already lowered (can't tell what springs?) with KYB's in the front and the rear is stamped "Toyota Tokico" on it. It rides comfy as hell though. It also has staggered 18" Ruff Racing wheels with 245's in the front and 275's in the rear. Not sure on width or offset. Well here's the pics.

*** My first 95 Civic from high school. Turbo'd with 200whp.

*** Then I had a 89 CRX Si, an Integra LS and another Civic LX that I can't find pics of. Then I got my 00 S2000.

*** Then I sold that for school and got a 95 Civic DX as a beater. That didn't last long as I started modding it. Nothing major, just cosmetic and paint and FX35 retrofit.

*** Then sold that and got a Prelude Si and swapped a JDM H22 in it.

*** Sold that Prelude and drove my dad's Civic for a year. Finally bought this SC. Sorry for the bad iPhone pics but I don't have a camera yet. The money I was going to use for a camera went to registration/insurance and all that stuff. Everything seems to be fine with this car except a P0135 code. Gotta change the o2 sensor this weekend and def. need to get new headlights.

Note: we really dont care about seeing pics of old Civics around here much. its generally an eye sore, lol, Hondas in general. (but the sexy S2K gets a pass hehe)

Anyway..

NICE pick up on the late model SC. the wheels even look decent on it. what are your future plans for it, if any..

Welcome to CL kyddo, nice to see new NOVA members, there's an increasing number of SC owners now around the area. We're arranging an SC caravan to make it to the UMD meet so it's a good chance to meet up with us from around the area. Also look up NELOC in the sub forums, there's always a meet going on somewhere. Nice pick up, looks clean and oozing with potential!

Always good to see new NoVa SC members! Hope to see you at the UMD meet next week. I'll be joining the caravan that mr2tosc4 mentioned.

And that lift in the garage is awesome.

Thanks guys. I'm in Woodbridge, but work and stay around Fairfax a lot. The car is great so far. Still getting used to it and all the little quirks about it (shifts into reverse HARD when the car is cold, the non working keyless entry, the skipping cd changer, the heavy *** doors and fragile door panels, etc.). I just realized that I think I have the pre-97 door mouldings. Looking at other pics of 97+ SC's the gap between the side skirt and door is huge. Also, is the stock inline 6 motor loud? I feel like it has a loud/deep tone to it (didn't find any leaks but sometimes it sounds like it has an exhaust leak. Not sure, it's hard to describe). I guess I'm just not used to it.

Beautiful SC. What year is it? I notice the pre 97 wing. Its either a fabulously converted pre 97 or a tastefully modded 97+
