hi! everyone...
im just curious... why is there a vibration when the tranny shift from 1st to 2nd gear? could it be the tranny mount going bad? im not too sure.. that's why im asking it here. any help is appreciated... thnx!

Check the transmission mount.. Its notorious for going bad and dry rotting. Its about a 30 minute replacement.

I have the exact same issue, as 1992 said it is your tranny mount. How many miles are on your car? I will post a picture of what my mount looks like after almost 200k miles on Friday after I replace it.

Do you have a steady vibration when running 50+ mph? That's what my tranny mount felt like when it went out....I've still got the brand new lexus tranny mount laying around if you end up needing one....It was on my car for only a couple months before I went 5-speed.

To make matter even worse on of the mounting bolts snapped off due to rust

200k miles is a lot! I'm proud of the tranny mount! How long did it take you to replace it?

The whole process including jacking up the car and replacing the mount took 20-25 minutes at most. As is with everything else on this rust bucket from hell lol, one of the mounting bolt broke off in my hand, but if your car is not located in the craptastic Northeast you shouldnt have any problems like that.

All the vibration and clunking when I would put it into gear are now gone

thnx for the response guys...yeah it smooth out after 2500 rpm in 2nd gear. it also vibrate around 75 mph..very minor bug but still gets annoying at times..lol... ey sup2jz...i have 205k miles on this beauty....
gspec.... i can really use the mount...leme check to see wich one is bad..do u have both?
