What do you mean, redding your tailights, with vinyl, or paint, or ? Can you be more specific?
What are you looking to get out of it?

Let the paint cure for about 24 hours or so, or let bake in the CA sun. Then I would put a light coat of spray wax or hand wax to keep the shine.
What kind of paint did you use?
