Default Help....accelerating issues

Ok...today, I made an attempt to change my sparks, wires rotor n cap. I failed the attempt so now I'm going take it to my friends mechanic shop. After removing the intake a couple of electrical plugs and hoses/vacum lines, i was stuck at the next step that had something to do with loosening a bolt on the throttle linkage. I followed a forum i looked up but I realized this is too complicated for my knowledge of this car. I stopped at the throttle linkage step becaus eI didn't want to mess with that but now my car seems like it "lags" when I accelerate after the car is stopped. It doesnt acclerate right away when i step on the gas, at least a second later. Can anyone tell what I may have done wrong?

Kinda sounds like you may have a vacuum leak. Check all your hoses and make sure they are not cracked or in the wrong position. No CEL? You may also want to clean the throttle body. Let me know.

this is a sc300. there was a vacum line or hose that my friend cracked. it connects to the side of the intake. its a small skinny hose. i taped it with electrical tape for now. that might be the problem?
