I chose the SC300 because it came in manual. If not, I would have went with the 400.

- closest thing to a supra
- affordable
- found a manual and I was told it was rare
- wanted luxury but didnt want a vip sedan
- not many people drive one
- when i was younger the sc300 costed around $50,000 and was considered baller

Was homeless and was finally getting my life back on track and one day riding my bike to work I seen her. Oh how her dark blue body captured the sun that day. I finally had the money to get her The day I was going to get her there was a hurricane going to hit. No insurance companies were open that day so had to wait the following day to get her. I've been in love ever since and now have a 1J sitting inside her.

The first Lexus i owned was 98 gs400, black on black. I really liked it but because it had an auto I sold it (still kind of regret that I sold it). I bought Sc after i sold my e46, I needed something more reliable than BMW, plus sc looks more like an exotic car (if modded tastefully). Couple of days ago I almost sold it but then changed my mind. You really can't find anything cooler than sc for the price.

The styling did it for me. Nearly 20 years ago no other car looked like it and that still holds true. Just now cars are coming out with similar headlight and interior button designs. The interior is equally as nice. The door design was also remarkable. I can't recall a car since then that has been made that way with such overengineered hinges. A lot of money went into the doors on these cars.

As far as driving the car goes it is nothing special or above the ride in a quality Japanese car. In fact, in hard corners the car is kind of sloppy and you feel how heavy it is.

But I have it for a cruiser. I accelerate with gentle throttle, coast as much as possible in heavy traffic, never ride or tap the brake, avoid harsh moves, etc......straight line interstate crusing at 80 is where the SC shines for me.

Oh, and I LOVE the 1 dial does it all for the auto climate control. A system so complex and technical but the simplicity to use it is what it's all about.

I hope this isn't a joke, because if it's not this is by far and away the best story in this post

This is strange. LOL

I just love the roar of the V8 if choosing between 300 and 400. I also like the limited number of modded 400's, the modded 300's are just way to common for me.

Wow, how tall/short are you? because there's no head room in SC unless it's a hardtop!
