Small turbo kit suggestions: daily driven, 300 HP goal goodness.
This is going to come off as a silly question, but can anyone direct me to a web link, cardomain, build thread, or ebay item/s (?) of a daily driven single turbo setup that's nearer to the 300 horsepower benchmark. Much of what I've seen are these monster T3/T4 setups, with remapped fuel delivery and upgraded injectors, boosting big trailer queens...when all I want is something reliable and quick, without lag, that's not going to end up killing me.
Thanks guys.

Usually you dont hear monster and T3 in the same sentence. Sounds like what you're looking for is a 1jz swap, makes an easy 300whp with a boost controller and has very little lag and can be reliable.

well im trying to sell my sc400 for a 5spd sc300 and I'm going to go na-t the XS-Turbo Power Kit sld on clubna-t.com is sold at i think $1650 for the turbo kit and all u need to get afterwards are some intercooler pipings and a downpipe and an engine management system....if all you want is 300rwhp than set the turbo to 8psi and tune it...you don't have to upgrade the injecters or get a new head gasket for just 300rwhp at 8psi...id say go NA-T...if not than just go 1jz and get 440 injecters, front mount intercooler, increase the boost and tune it and guarenteed 300 rwhp

sell your SC...cause if you cant find the info your looking for here, or on clubna-t, your already doing something wrong.
na-t with a mid-frame sized turbo, stock fuel, stock headgasket, XS manifold and wastegate, used good condition fmic, XS pipe kit, bov, safc-2 @ 9psi will give an estimated 290-330rwhp...I was running something similar not too long ago and making enough power to loose traction in first and second gear with the stock auto trans, and running an estimated low 13's in the 1/4...

is this suppose to be making fun of the 1jz? if so i dont think u should b in this forum... and dont deserve to drive a toyota/lexus...
but back to the subject.... either an na-t or a 1jz set up will run about the same imo, if ur current motor is high milage id suggest doing a swap, if its in good condition then go na-t
