Question 4.7l should I....

Ok I have to act fast. I found a 2uzfe 4.7l tundra motor with 28k. Has complete motor, ecu, harness, basically everything. Does anyone know if I use the ecu and harness if i can make this plug and play? Well plug and play for the most part and I know lextreme makes the necessary engine mounts. Oh yeah can a 5speed be bolted up to this also? Any quick answers would be sweet.

I know of the 2uz with 1uz heads and all that jazz and having to modify the pistons. I dont want to have to strip the block down and remachine pistons or anything. Simply using the mount kit, and bolting it down. Ill deal with minor electrical stuff!!

thanks all...

The 2uz makes less hp than the vvti 400 but has alot more tq. But i guess if your
92-97 sc400 then maybe its worth it. Id check into the electrical issues b4 doing it.

Yes you can bolt up the 2uzfe in your SC4 but you will need alot of wiring and other misc connections. I would your down time be at least few months to get it running properly. My 4.7L with 1uzfe heads were documented. Low compression with stage II cams with stock tires. Tires spin from a dead stop to almost 6k rpm. That is fun!

So if you decided to do the swap just make sure you have someone to help you with the wiring and you also need to know how to bypass the security system. Good luck...

Lol...down time. HAH i laugh at that. It has been down for almost a year now! I am trying to get it ready for the winter. Riding a motorcycle in the winter is the pits! So If i send my harness to DR tweak ya think he could get it working? I literally is complete for all the parts I need. I know the rods are weak and cant take FI but im thinking 4.7 with some bolt ons would be fun mated to a 5speed...Lextreme I have your 4.7 bookmarked and your videos are in my fav list. Do the 1uz heads flow better than the 2uz or was using the 1uz heads for ease of wiring and using the 1uz comp?

Just use the heads from the 1UZ and the 2UZ Block. No messing with wires and it will make more power that way. Just look at Lextreme's build for guidance.

You could always get a standalone like a Link Plus, that is wired to a combination of the 2uz and 1uz harness. Estimated cost 2,500
